The past week marked a significant milestone at Lancaster University Leipzig, as 250 motivated students from around the world were warmly welcomed to Leipzig – the largest incoming class in the university’s history.
What stood out the most was the openness and curiosity of the new students, some of whom are under 18 years old. Due to their consistently international backgrounds, they embraced one another with open minds and made new connections during their first days.
Step by step, students completed their registration and submitted all the necessary documents. They received individual support to ensure that all formalities were handled smoothly and efficiently.
Following successful registration, students participated in comprehensive orientation sessions designed to help them transition smoothly into academic life and living in Leipzig. This included IT orientations, where they familiarized themselves with the digital platforms and tools they will need during their studies. In addition, Lancaster University Leipzig professors organized interactive games and activities to help students get to know each other quickly.
Another highlight of the Welcome Week was the guided city tours, where students had the opportunity to explore Leipzig and its key landmarks. These tours not only provided insights into the city’s history and culture but also offered useful tips for daily life in Leipzig.
Armed with this knowledge and their first impressions, the 250 students are now embarking on an exciting academic journey at Lancaster University Leipzig.
