We are excited to highlight the lately formed Investment and Finance Student Society – an active student club dedicated to exploring the world of finance and investment. The founders Klavs, Peteris, and Aleksis want to make finance and investing more accessible and engaging for students. Here is what they shared about their mission and events:
In the beginning, we kicked things off by giving Leipzig students the chance to join virtual sessions with Jefferies Group organized by LUIFS in Bailrigg. Seeing the enthusiasm from students, we decided to take things further and launched our own Investment Game — a fun and interactive way to dive into investing which lasted from 17.02.2025 until 11.03.2025.
We’re here to help students develop financial skills, connect with industry professionals, and explore the world of finance. We welcome students of all experience levels, from complete beginners to those with a background in finance. Additionally, since this is the last year for all our board members, we’re open to suggestions and looking for potential successors to continue growing the society.
